As an immigrant to Vancouver, I want to acknowledge that I am an uninvited settler on the traditional and unceded territories of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), and səlilwətaɬ (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations. I am grateful for my work, home, and life on these lands that have been stewarded by Coast Salish peoples since time immemorial. I also respect and honour the hard work of the land, animals, water, and plants in this region. I pledge to do my part in truth, reconciliation, and decolonization, to respect and rebuild the Indigenous ways of being, knowing and seeing.
